Aleix Vidal - Bargain or mistake?

Now this news seems contradictory
I thought we couldn't register a player as ours
So looks like we've already bought him but aren't gonna play him till Jan 1st
Which means Dani Alves must renew

The transfer fee might turn out to be a bargain in the long run

For now he's fairly priced
He's played well in the Europa League Finals

But hes more of a winger and it'll be interesting to see how he plays at RB

He's certainly more defensive minded than Cuadrado whom we were linked to last season

Aleix's heat maps are similar to Alves. I've no complaints about his ability.

Ideally, I'd like for Dani to stay for 2 years but if he leaves, I think Barça can cope till January. I hope Pedro would be happy playing as a wing back so we can try that, too.

Why Pedro? Is it that bad to give play time on Montoya? He can play several games till January, gain rhythm and then we will be able to tell if Montoya is a Barca material. I agree with Joe about Aleix. We' ve got a national team player in a very good price. Just think if Aleix was a EPL player and had cope that well with his team like he did with Sevilla he would cost like Luke Shaw.
